Today, ICCT Research Fellow Dr. Bibi van Ginkel appeared in an article on the capture of Salah Abdeslam in the Dutch national newspaper Algemeen Dagblad. Van Ginkel noted that the capture of Europe's most wanted terrorist can be celebrated as a victory by the Belgians who captured him: "Let's be honest: Anything could have gone wrong. Abdeslam could have killed himself just before the raid or the police could have accidentally fatally shot him."
