On 4 July 2017, the French newspaper Le Figaro reported on the report "Fear Thy Neighbor: Radicalization and Jihadist Attacks in the West", which was published jointly by George Washington University’s Program on Extremism, the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) and the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism – The Hague (ICCT) in June 2017. Le Figaro highlights some of the report's key findings, such as the fact that the majority of the perpetrators of the 51 attacks analysed in Europe and the United States were young men known to the authorities.
