On Wednesday, 10th of April 2024, the Dutch weekly magazine De Groene Amsterdammer published an article on the recently released book "Russia and the Far-Right: Insights From Ten European Countries".
"In Russia and the Far-Right: Insights from Ten European Countries by the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism, published this week, (...) the researchers see an interesting shift in this: instead of obscure and fringe far-right societies, Russia is now focusing on political parties that still fall within the spectrum or are just on the edge."
"Moscow correctly assumed that working with or through political parties that gained popularity in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis and the 2015 migrant crisis would yield more benefits than outright support for the non-democratic and violent far right", the article states.
