The Hague, 07 July 2020 – ICCT announces that Alexander von Rosenbach has been appointed Interim Director of ICCT, effective 1 July 2020. He succeeds Renske van der Veer, who has been appointed as the director of the Training Institute of the Netherlands Custodial Institutions Agency (Dienst Justitiële Inrichtingen). She will continue supporting Alexander until starting her new role 1 September 2020.
Alexander has more than 10 years experience working on issues of national security, counter-terrorism, business operations and management. He has worked with militaries, intelligence agencies, government departments and industry partners around the world. Prior to assuming the interim director role, Alexander was ICCT’s Operations Manager, responsible for strategy, finance and organisational design. He holds a Master’s degree in International History from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia.
