On March 10, Méryl Demuynck was selected as a member of the EU Knowledge Hub Thematic Panel on the Management of Foreign Terrorist Fighters, Volunteers, and their Families. She has joined a group of highly-skilled researchers, frontline practitioners, and policymakers from the EU, Western Balkans, and MENA regions in Brussels for the first in a series of interconnected workshops. The first session laid the foundation for a comprehensive understanding of the current landscape and the challenges posed by Foreign Terrorist Fighters and returnees, and set the stage for more targeted discussions in future workshops.
Méryl expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity of supporting the EU and its Members states effectively addressing this critical challenge over the next two years.
