On 1 November 2017, ICCT Associate Fellow Dr. Colin P. Clarke published an article on the recent New York vehicle terror attack in The Globe and Mail. In the article, Clarke discusses whether vehicle attacks can be prevented. He reasons that "it is nearly impossible to guard against such an attack" but argues "with increased vigilance, co-operation with law enforcement and intelligence sharing, citizens can work with authorities to help mitigate the threat of terrorism."
