An October article in Politico Magazine by ICCT Associate Fellow J.M. Berger explores the relationship between American white nationalists and the current Republican nominee for the U.S. presidency, Donald Trump. Presenting that at first the two parties were at odds, Berger elaborates on how many white nationalists have come to not only accept, but love Trump. The piece also discusses the history of skepticism shared by white nationalists in their views of the current presidential candidate, but for most, that skepticism appears to have been either appeased or subdued.
