ICCT senior research fellow, Tanya Mehra urged governments to take responsibility of their civilians who had travelled to overseas warzones like Syria to fight alongside ISIS. Whilst speaking in a webinar hosted by the Counter Extremism Project, she stressed that repatriation of Foreign Terrorist Fighters is the “only way forward” to prevent further radicalisation in Europe.
