Laura Winkelmuller Real

Laura Winkelmuller Real joined ICCT in August 2024 as part of the Current and Emerging Threats Programme, where she contributed research on the involvement of Western foreign fighters in the Russo-Ukrainian war, disinformation campaigns in Europe by malign state actors, and the rise of anti-Semitism in online spaces.

Before joining ICCT, Laura served as the Policy Lead for a European political party in Spain, where her work centred on policy development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic collaboration. She holds a BA in Political Science with a specialization in International Law and is pursuing an MSc in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University, with a focus on the Governance of Radicalism, Extremism, and Terrorism.
