On Thursday, August 28th, Het Financieel Dagblad published an article written by Bibi van Ginkel, Senior Research Fellow and Programme Lead at ICCT.
Within the article, van Ginkel discusses the growing issues that plague the global counter-terrorism sector. Identifying the 'plagues' which are shaking the foundations of the field, van Ginkel stresses the deeply concerning changes which transcend the Dutch landscape and permeate into the global sphere.
"Inquiries with peer institutions confirm that more than 90% of the sector has been affected by budget cuts," van Ginkel warns in the article, leaving a forboding worry about the future consequences of the current storm.
