On 2 November, 2017 Dr. Bibi van Ginkel had an Opinion published in Trouw on the role of military in collecting evidence and arresting terrorist suspects. As soldiers are often on the spot of where an attack takes place, they possess better and direct access to the crime site. Bibi argues that a better relationship between civil government and military should be adopted as the latter can play a supportive and useful role in investigation processes.
