On Saturday, 21st of October 2023, Bibi van Ginkel was interviewed by De Morgen, a Belgian newspaper, about the shooting carried out on 16th October in Brussels by the 45-year-old Tunisian Abdesalem Lassoued.
"Lassoued also received weapons, which indicates that he was not lonely in his attic room" Bibi commented. But she also said that complete security does not exist: "You simply cannot preventively lock up people who seem suspicious en masse."
