The ICCT Live Briefing was about deradicalisation and disengagement. Dr Stig Jarle Hansen is the keynote speaker. He recently published the Routledge Handbook of Deradicalisation and Disengagement together with Stian Lid. The first discussant, Dr Daniel Koehler, discussed the role of ideology in the deradicalisation and disengagement process. The second discussant, Dr Amy-Jane Gielen, talked about local approaches and best practices in the Benelux. Dr Liesbeth van der Heide commented on the other speakers. The session was concluded by a Q&A, moderated by ICCT's interim director, Alexander von Rosenbach.
