On 11 July, 2022, 15:30-17:00 (CET) the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism (ICCT) hosted a Live Briefing for the release of the book, 'The Practice and Problems of Transnational Counter-Terrorism'.
Transnational counter-terrorism is a growing field of law, policy, and practice at and beyond the United Nations. However, there are persistent concerns about the extent to which there is accountability for the processes of its formation and the effects of its implementation. This webinar brings together speakers from scholarly, policy, practice, and judicial backgrounds to discuss the conundrum of accountability in transnational counter-terrorism. The webinar marked the publication of ICCT Associate Fellow, Professor Fiona de Londras’, book The Practice and Problems of Transnational Counter-Terrorism by Cambridge University Press.
Speakers:
- Fiona de Londras: Professor of Global Legal Studies in the Birmingham Law School, University of Birmingham, Honorary Professor in the College of Law, Australian National University, and Associate Fellow of ICCT.
- Kimberly Prost: Judge on the International Criminal Court and former Chef de Cabinet for the President of the International Criminal Court.
- David McKeever: Legal Officer at the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate.
