Position summary
ICCT is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our Supervisory Board. As a member of the Supervisory Board, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the strategic direction and governance of the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the global fight against terrorism and to support ICCT's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the organisation.
- Ensure the organisation adheres to its mission and values.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Director.
- Review and approve major decisions, policies, and plans.
- Ensure financial stability and accountability.
- Occasionally, represent ICCT in external engagements and promote its work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in governance, strategic oversight, or related responsibilities.
- Ideally, a strong understanding of (and network within the field of) counter-terrorism and international security issues.
- Ideally, experience with leading organisations in transition.
- Ideally, experience in fundraising and stakeholder engagement (e.g. governments, philanthropy).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other board members and diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to ICCT's mission and values.
What we offer
An exciting and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development of a leading think tank on counter-terrorism, which is situated in The Hague but engages within a global network. This position is not renumerated.
Expectations
The Supervisory Board has quarterly meetings with the Director, of which most are in-person in The Hague. In addition, occasional ad hoc meetings or external representation commitments may be part of the position.
