ICCT Research Coordinator Dr. Bart Schuurman and Research Fellow Prof. Dr. Edwin Bakker Publish Research Paper in Journal of Forensic Sciences

On 23 October the Journal of Forensic Sciences published a research paper co-written by Bart Schuurman, Edwin Bakker, Paul Gill and Noemie Bouhana. The paper, titled 'Lone Actor Terrorist Attack Planning and Preparation: A Data-Driven Analysis' analyses a sample of 55 lone actor terrorists using 198 variables related to pre-attack behavior. The paper questions the "lone actor" concept, and offers concrete input for those working to detect and prevent this form of terrorism. Read the paper here.
