Announcing Dr. Alastair Reed as ICCT Acting Director

Alastairedited Dr. Alastair Reed has been appointed with immediate effect as acting director of the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism - The Hague  (ICCT). Dr. Reed was previously ICCT’s Research Coordinator and Senior Researcher at Leiden University.

Former director Mark Singleton, will temporarily take charge of the Administrative Unit of the Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF), before returning to the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in September, when his period of secondment ends.  Mr. Singleton has overseen a successful two years at ICCT, which has seen the Centre develop and grow, including the hosting of the GCTF Administrative Unit within ICCT.

Dr. Reed and ICCT's founding institutions - the Clingendael Institute, the T.M.C. Asser Instituut and the Institute of Security and Global Affairs of Leiden University - look forward to continuing and strengthening the cooperation with all of ICCT’s clients and partners.
