Schadi Semnani

Schadi Semnani is currently an independent consultant who conducts research in Syria and Iraq for humanitarian, stabilization and development programming and provides policy/funding advice to donor countries working in this space. Most recently, Ms Semnani has served as a consultant for a number of agencies working in al-Hol camp in NE Syria and those working with the Iraqis returning from the camp to Iraq. She also undertook a scoping mission on behalf of the EU to suggest where they could provide support to the process. Prior to her current work on al-Hol, she has a decade of experience as a researcher, analyst and manager for a number of stabilization and development projects in Syria, particularly in areas outside the control of the Syrian Government.
