Oge Samuel Okonkwo is a Visiting Fellow (P/CVE) at the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism (ICCT) from January to March 2025. Oge is a doctoral researcher in African history at the University of Ghana, specializing in governance, digital activism, and conflict resolution in African separatist movements. A recipient of the Lisa Maskell PhD Fellowship, his research delves into socio-cultural dynamics and online narratives shaping modern conflicts. At ICCT, he contributes to understanding radicalization in North-Eastern Nigeria by mapping socio-economic and cultural factors driving extremism among Almajiri cohorts. With expertise in digital ethnography, monitoring and evaluation, and inclusive governance, Oge bridges historical scholarship with actionable insights to inform counter-terrorism policies and sustainable governance frameworks in Africa.
