Nathaniel Barr

Nathaniel Barr is a threat analyst at the D.C-based consulting firm Valens Global, focusing on violent non-state actors and political violence in North Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. He has worked extensively on a wide array of issues concerning insurgent movements and terrorist organisations, including domestic radicalisation pathways for homegrown jihadist terrorists in the West, the Taliban’s military campaign in southern Afghanistan and Islamist and jihadist activity in Libya. He is a graduate of Brandeis University, holding a degree in political science and a minor in journalism.
