Katharina Sengfelder, MA, is the founder of Exit Nexus and a research coordinator with Georgia State University’s Violent Extremism Research Group. Her research centres on radicalisation, disengagement from extremism, and interventions, especially in helplines and peer support programs. She also specialises in programme development, covering organisational structures, protocols, training and evaluation. Recently, she developed training materials, standards, and job  analyses for former extremists. As a practitioner, she created and led a five-unit  psychoeducational curriculum and workshops for individuals leaving high-control groups
