Hope Rikkelman

Hope Rikkelman is the director of Yazidi Legal Network and head of the Iraq & Syria projects at the Nuhanovic Foundation.

She specialized in international and Dutch criminal law at the University of Amsterdam and the University of Zagreb. She has developed human rights programmes for human rights activists and conducts (criminal) investigations into international crimes within national jurisdictions with the aim of establishing individual liability before Dutch courts. She focuses on access to justice and reparation for victims of international crimes. Within all of the projects she runs, her main aim is to support the community, give them a voice and make connections where needed.
