Hannah Fase joined the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism as its Current and Emerging Threats Programme intern in August 2022 until January 2023. She holds a BA(hons) in Liberal Arts & Sciences with a major in World Politics and a double-minor in Governance, Economics & Development and Journalism & New Media from Leiden University College. Currently, she is completing her Master's of Social Sciences degree in Peace and Conflict studies at the Uppsala University in Sweden.
Prior to joining the team, she worked as a Student Assistant at Leiden University, working on research looking at the impact of long-term leadership on sustainability policies. Alongside her studies, she has worked as the Program Director at American NGO Learning Enterprises as well. Fase's research interests include genocidal and ethnic violence, non-religious radicalisation, and extremism in Western Europe.
