Arda Gerkens

Arda Gerkens is the chair of the Netherlands' Authority for the Prevention of Online Terrorist Content and Child Sexual Abuse Material (ATKM). A former Dutch politician, she operates at the intersection of the digital world and society. Throughout her political career and beyond, she has championed a safe online environment where human rights are in balance. Her particular focus is on online child sexual abuse. Her additional positions include Chair of the Supervisory Board of the NVPI, Chair of the Taskforce GO (transgressive behaviour), and board member of Kolewa.
