Eviane Leidig is an Associate Fellow and former Research Fellow in the Current and Emerging Threats programme at ICCT. Her research focuses on far right extremism, gender, and online recruitment, radicalisation, and propaganda. Her regional expertise includes India, North America, and Europe. She holds a PhD from the University of Oslo (MSc, University of Bristol; BA, University of California, Berkeley).
Eviane is also an affiliate at the Center for Research on Extremism (C-REX) at the University of Oslo; an Associate Fellow at the Global Network on Extremism & Technology (GNET) based at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation, King’s College London; and was a founding member of the Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right (CARR). She was a VOX-Pol sponsored visiting researcher at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford, and a visiting scholar at New York University.
Eviane has given talks for policymakers such as the U.S. State Department, European Commission, national and regional intelligence agencies, and law enforcement. She regularly consults for tech companies in an advisory capacity for the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT). Eviane has been featured in international media outlets such as Foreign Policy, Al Jazeera, BBC, Huffington Post, The Independent, and Radio Free Europe.
