In The Media: Thomas Renard on Shifting Terrorism Threat Landscape under Trump

Recently, Gazeta Wyborcza interviewed ICCT director Thomas Renard on the shifting terrorism threat landscape under the Trump administration, which has cut foreign aid used to combat radicalisation abroad while amplifying the threat posed by far-left groups. Renard acknowledged that far-left-linked threats have grown somewhat, fueled by geopolitical developments in the Middle East, but stressed they remain "significantly lower than the threat posed by jihadist terrorism or right-wing extremism."
