On Thursday, 19th of October 2023, Tanya Mehra was interviewed by DW, a German broadcaster, about how the Brussels shootings and the conflict between Israel and Hamas could affect the debate over deportation policy.
"How the (European) governments address the violations of both sides of the (Israeli-Palestinian) conflict is very important", she said. "They have huge migrant communities in their countries, but it also trickles down into schools. We have children from different migrant backgrounds talking about it".
