ICCT in the Media: Julie Coleman on counter-terrorism efforts in Mali

On 15 February, Julie Coleman commented on European counter-terrorism efforts in Mali and potential withdrawal of French troops from the country in the Belgian newspaper De Tijd. Julie comments on the consequences a French withdrawal and potential involvement by the Russian Wagner paramilitary organisation. Julie also comments on the lack of a comprehensive strategy to tackle the root causes of terrorism in the region.
