ICCT Live Briefing on Deradicalisation and Disengagement

The ICCT Live Briefing is about deradicalisation and disengagement. Dr. Stig Jarle Hansen is the keynote speaker. He recently published the Routledge Handbook of Deradicalisation and Disengagement together with Stian Lid. The first discussant, Daniel Koehler, will discuss the role of ideology in the deradicalisation and disengagement process. The second discussant, Amy-Jane Gielen, will talk about local approaches and practices in the Benelux. Liesbeth van der Heide will comment on the other speakers. The session will be concluded by a Q&A.

Political scientist from the University of Amsterdam, 13 years of experience in researching violent extremism and PCVE and Associate Fellow at ICCT.
